Okay, this probably sounds unreal, like any other ghost story, but I swear, it's true. I think my dad's study room upstairs is haunted. I started noticing strange things over the summer last year. One night, I was up late (my parents were asleep and my sister was out somewhere). I was turning off all the lights upstairs before I went to bed, so I turned off the lights in the study, and then when I went into the family room to turn off those lights. I heard noises from the study like something was running around and shuffling papers. I totally freaked out and ran to my bathroom and locked the door. I kept trying to come up with explanations, but there were none. Another night, not too long after that one, I was doing the same thing, except this time, when I walked out of the study into the pitch black hallway to the family room, I thought I saw my mom walking in my direction. I said, Mom, you scared me. The figure kinda walked through me and dissapeared. Then weird things began again over the christmas break.
One day, it was around 4 pm, and I was waiting for my ride to swim practice. I was sitting in the entry (which has an inside open window to the study upstairs) next to the front door. Suddenly I heard typing from the computer in the study. No one else was home, so I flipped out. A couple days later, I finally told my older sister about all this. When I started to tell her the stories, she would like finish them for me because she had had similar experiences (her room is in that hallway with the figure). Both of us get a very uneasy feeling in that general part of the house. I don't know what or who is in there, and I don't really want to know.
